I am learning to type on a new keyboard(voyager zsa), its janky, weird, my typing speed is down to less than half it used to be.
Why am I doing this?
Well a couple of reasons.
One to not need to use the mouse so much and get more productive.
Another is to just try something new.
And every few minutes or so I have to go back and change something about my keyboard configuration. It is my first split keyboard and I constantly feel the loss of one key or something else.
But over time I start realizing that muscle memory kick in. Then things get easier.
You edit the keyboard less, and you start settling in.
Practice makes life easier, you need to think less about things.
And whatever you find is a problem later on can then be improved then, vs waiting for the perfect time.
Just let things evolve naturally.
